On 28/02/14 20:42, the mail apparently from Patrick Gansterer included:

It's in in C99 (15 years ago).

It's Win32's problem if they're still stuck in 1998 and calling that 
"plain C".

How about

#ifdef WIN32 (or whatever)
#define inline
#endif
