Hi -

Libwebsockets now works on ESP8266 ^^

Brief introduction to ESP8266 (basically US$2.50 Wifi chip with storage
and 160MHz Tensilica CPU)

https://warmcat.com/embedded/wifi/electronics/analogue/2016/07/22/esp82
66.html

Project that includes AP-mode configuration for Ap Connection and
Station mode with the LWS test server (no ssl yet, but all features)

https://github.com/lws-team/esplws

It's basically a 700KB image (so >= 1MB SPI Flash module needed)
including a 350KB "leaf.jpg" in a ROMFS generated at build-time and
included in the image.

It uses current master of libwebsockets for all the related
functionality.

Detailed usage info

The chip has several restrictions, but clearly it's epoch-making in
what it allows you to do.
